What we collect

• Account information — the name and email address you provide when you sign up, or that Google shares with us if you sign in with Google.
• Content you create — channels, tasting write-ups, reviews, ratings, and any audio, photos, or video you upload.
• Technical data — a session cookie to keep you signed in, and standard server logs (IP address, request time, and user agent) kept briefly for security and debugging.

How we use it

We use your data to operate the service: to create and secure your account, to display the content you and others publish, to send you sign-in links and account emails, and to keep the platform working and free of abuse. We do not sell your personal data, and we do not use it for advertising.

Cookies

We use a single essential cookie to keep you signed in. We do not use advertising or third-party analytics/tracking cookies, so no cookie-consent banner is required for normal use. If that ever changes, we’ll update this policy and ask for consent where the law requires it.

Who we share it with

We share data only with the service providers that make the product work, and only as needed:

• Google — if you choose Google sign-in, to authenticate you.
• Amazon Web Services — hosting, storage, and sending account emails.
• OpenAI and Anthropic — when you use the “draft from recordings” feature, the audio you upload is transcribed by OpenAI and the resulting transcript is drafted into a write-up by Anthropic. That content is sent to those providers only to perform that task.

We may also disclose data if required by law, or to protect the rights and safety of our users and the platform.

Retention & your choices

We keep your account and content until you delete them or ask us to. You can edit or delete content you’ve created, and you can request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data by emailing us at the address below. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under laws such as the GDPR or CCPA.

Age & alcohol content

This site is about wine and other alcohol, and is intended for people who are of legal drinking age in their location. It is not directed to children, and we don’t knowingly collect data from anyone under the legal drinking age.

Security & changes

We take reasonable measures to protect your data, including encrypted transport (HTTPS) and hashed credentials, though no system is perfectly secure. We may update this policy; when we make material changes we’ll revise the date above.
